The Recipe For A Great Colorado Cafe' Owner

Low Cal/ Low Fat/ Low Chol/ Low Sodium

                      1/4 cup sugar

                      1 cup smiles

                      2 sticks of elbow grease

                      1 tsp of patience

                      2 1/2 lbs of ambition

                      3 1/4 cups of creativity

                      1 sense of humor

a pinch of the spice of life

                      a dash of salt

2 1/2 cups of food service management experience

1 can (15 to 16 ounces) of bookkeeping skills

                      1 supportive husband

                      cross-country skis

                      1 toilet bowl brush

Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 1 cup of smiles. Refrigerate until serving.

Preheat oven to the average Colorado temperature: 50.3 degrees F.

          Coat a square pan 9 x 9 x 2 inches with a generous portion of elbow grease.
Dust with patience to keep the pan from sticking.

Sift together thoroughly in a large sized mixing bowl 2 1/2 lbs of ambition,
3 1/4 cups of creativity, one sense of humor, a pinch of the spice of life
          and a dash of salt.

With an electric mixer on low speed, 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly,
add 2 1/2 cups of food service management experience and one can of
          bookkeeping experience.

Beat on high speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Fold in carefully
one supportive husband. Pour mixture into pan. Bake 30-32 years or until
toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool slightly.

This can be served on a bed of cross-country skis (hey, you have to have fun,
too!) and don't forget to garnish this with a toilet bowl brush (a clean
restroom is also very important). Top each serving with the sugary smiles.
