In a letter dated June 19, 1998, William Yorke, Executive Officer of the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission, replied. Some excerpts follow: "The Control Commission has jurisdiction in matters concerning the Bingo Licensing Law, N.J.S.A. 5:8-24 et seq., the Raffles Licensing Law, N.J.S.A. 5:8-50 et seq., the Amusement Games Licensing Law, N.J.S.A. 5:8-100 et seq., and the regulations governing each N.J.A.C. 13:47-1 et seq., as to Bingo and Raffles, and N.J.A.C. 13:3-1 et seq., as to Amusement Games." "The activity you describe in your letter does not appear to be licensable pursuant to the laws administered by the Control Commission. That is not to say that the activity is legal. I strongly urge you to seek private legal councel." Mr. York included copies of two publications of statutes, one entitled 'Amusement Games' and the other, 'Bingos and Raffles.'
